Plasticolors

Colormatch® pigment dispersions for urethane applications consist of organic and inorganic colorants suspended in a variety of polyols and plasticizers. The carrier vehicles for these products have been chosen for excellent compatibility with a wide range of

urethane systems.

 

Colormatch® DR Series products consist of polyether polyol-based dispersions for use in polyether-type coatings, RIM systems, and the MOCA side of TDI cast urethanes. The hydroxyl number of the carrier vehicle is 26, and the molecular weight is 6500.

 

Colormatch® DG Series dispersions provide optimal compatibility with polyester-based polyols. The hydroxyl number of the carrier vehicle is 50, and the molecular weight is 1500.

 

Colormatch® DK Series products are polypropylene glycol-based dispersions designed for use in MDI cast urethanes. The PPG may be mixed with chain extenders such as 1,4-butanediol and trimethylolpropane. The hydroxyl number is 147.

 

Colormatch® DL Series products are designed for third stream applications where a reactive carrier is required.  This low viscosity polyether polyol dispersion is also well suited for bun stock. The hydroxyl number is 35 and the molecular weight is 4800.

 

Applications for Plasticolors’ urethane dispersions include, but are not limited to: Pultrusion, Sheet Molding Compound (SMC), Reaction Injection Molding, and Cast Urethane, such as cultured marble and solid surfaces.
